David Roppo asked:

At her trial, a court-appointed psychologist said Brinkley "needs to start working on deeper issues," including "her choice of male figures."

Christie Brinkley with a robust and athletic California-girl smile was the first woman to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition for three consecutive years (1979-81).  Brinkley was studying art in Paris when she was discovered by a fashion photographer early in the 1970s, and she soon joined the Ford modeling agency. Her career really took off with her first Sports Illustrated cover in 1979. She had a cameo role in National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983) and married superstar singer Billy Joel 1985. (She appeared in Joel’s videos for "Uptown Girl" and "Keeping the Faith" and created the cover art for his 1988 Album River of Dreams. Brinkley and Joel divorced in 1994.) Like Cheryl Tiegs Brinkley was a longtime spokes model for Cover Girl cosmetics.

Christie Brinkley has had quite the illustrious career, although her relationships haven’t exuded the same fortuitous outcome since all four have ended badly! The later being no exception, with Peter Cook partaking in extra marital affairs, pornography, and drugs!

Among the details Christie Brinkley revealed at the divorce trial:

Peter Cook offered to pay women he met online for ***.

Spent upwards of $3,000 a month on online porn

Forgot to close a slideshow of said **** when 10-year-old son Jack asked to use his computer for a school report

Had an affair with teenage assistant Diana Bianchi

Was busted for cocaine at a *** truck stop and did time

Is Peter Cook wrong for his detestable behavior? Absolutely, unequivocally yes, but the bigger question for Christie is; what’s going to be different next time?

Why do some women seem to attract one Mr. Wrong after another? It’s not as if they’ve placed a classified in the local newspaper, which listed all the descriptive yet detestable qualities they’ve never longed for! And, I don’t think they’ve conducted a Mr. Wrong job fair at the local conference center and laboriously interviewed a cast of undesirable potentials! So, why in the heck do these guys keep showing up?

Let’s take a moment to examine the statement Christie’s psychologist made during her divorce litigation “Brinkley needs to start working on deeper issues," including "her choice of male figures."  Is it really a matter of conscious choice? In my opinion, it is not and nor has it ever been. I’m quite sure Christie did not intend to land someone that was going to sleep with his 18 year old assistant, become addicted to porn, or get arrested for drugs! I have proven time in and time out that this unfortuitious scenario happens purely by default! The law of attraction is at play here, and it’s almost as if she’s a Mr. Wrong Magnet! Well, maybe she is in so many words! Now don’t get me wrong (not a play on words!) I am not at all saying that she deserves to attract the wrong guy. Quite the contrary, she deserves to find the love that she’s always dreamed of and I’m going to tell her exactly how to get it!

You see, most women attract Mr. Wrong unintentionally or by default! Well, of course it happened by default since you didn’t ask for it! Or, did you?  Well, you may not have verbally asked for it but you did subconsciously! The universe is not partial to what you order, so the celestial waiter will deliver exactly what you asked for, whether you’re aware of it or not!

Attracting Mr. Wrong has everything to do with the energy you are projecting and ultimately the self-limiting beliefs you hold about yourself as well as others. Frequently, this stems from the fears and insecurities which are bred in a dysfunctional upbringing. As a child, were you unloved, verbally abused, controlled, or inadequately parented? How have these things affected your level of self-esteem? Now, you may be thinking how could Christie Brinkley be dealing with any of these issues? Well, I don’t know Christie personally, so I can’t make that statement with any validity. However, the statement her psychologist made at the trial would certainly lend credibility to that theory.

Now you may be saying to yourself; what does self-esteem have to do with attracting Mr. Wrong? Well, everything! If I asked you to describe the perfect partner, what would you say? It’s my experience that most women would describe the perfect partner as being confident, loving, romantic, caring, kind, understanding and passionate. Someone that loves who they are, can easily articulate their needs, pursue there dreams, and is not afraid to love unconditionally. Ok, now describe your qualities! Is that what you are? If not, then how can you expect to attract someone who is? You see, you must become the very thing you wish to attract! So, if you want to attract Mr. Right you have to transform yourself into Ms. Right!

So, there is hope for Christie to get back on the marriage horse someday by finding Mr. Right! However, to accomplish that it will take liberating her self from her own fears and insecurities and tapping into her true feminine power!

Susan Ashby asked:

If you like sports, shopping or having a good time in bars and nightclubs, then you will love visiting Manchester in the United Kingdom.

Whether it’s business or leisure that brings you to Manchester, you’ll find plenty of things that will keep you entertained and fascinated. To illustrate this point, the following is a quick tour of the most popular Manchester districts, starting at the city outskirts and moving inward.

Altrincham and Sale lay at Manchester’s south west end. Both are hugely popular and fashionable shopping destinations. Aside from shopping, Sale also gives visitors a taste of Manchester’s highly-touted sporting lifestyle through the hometown Sale Sharks Rugby Union Club. The nearby Sale Water Park is also worth a visit.

Bolton and Bury, two traditional Lancashire towns with distinctly unique personalities, sit at the northern side of the city. Bolton is young and vibrant and its residents have made entertainment and shopping a way of life. The district’s most popular attractions are the Bolton Octagon Theater, the Last Drop Village and the Pennine moors. On the other hand, Bury has an old world feel owing to its many historical attractions such as the East Lancashire Railway. Bury is also popular for its vast open air market, considered to be the best on this side of England.

Castlefield and Deansgate host exceptional shopping, dining and entertainment venues such as Castlefield Basin, King Street and St. Ann’s Square. The Ox is a great choice for lunch or dinner while the Dukes 92 waterfront bar is ideal for drinks.

Manchester’s local Chinatown houses one of the biggest Chinese populations in the country and some of the best Chinese restaurants. Visit during the Chinese New Year and witness one of the city’s most impressive annual celebrations.

When it comes to shopping, the Manchester city centre is in a class of its own. Reputed to be one of the best shopping areas in the United Kingdom, it features such showcase stores as the largest Marks & Spencer outlet in Europe and the hugely popular Exchange Square. You may also want to visit Albert Square for great Victorian gothic architecture and the G-Mex Center and Bridgewater Hall for their rock concerts and classical performances.

There are more fine restaurants in Didsbury, south of the city centre, such as the renowned Lime Tree and the Metropolitan. Didsbury, along with nearby Chorlton and Withington, is one of the city’s most popular and fashionable residential areas, home to an upscale class of professionals and entrepreneurs who have gravitated to the area because of its excellent eating, drinking and shopping options. Chorlton is the more bohemian of the three while Withington hosts the local café society. The latter also features more of a student population and a lively main street lined with popular shops and bars such as Solomon Grundy.

Manchester’s massive student population is situated mostly south of the city centre in Fallowfield, Rusholme and Whalley Range and accounts for the distinct character and cultural diversity of the area. There are many hip bars and pubs in Fallowfield, especially near the numerous University Halls of Residence. Rusholme hosts a large Asian community as well as top flight restaurants like Sangam. Whalley Range is beginning to catch up with the other two with its increasing number of impressive new bars and restaurants.

The *** community will feel right at home in the *** Village on Canal Street, just west of Piccadilly. The *** Village has a wide array of bars, restaurants and clubs, including Essential, the city’s first multi-million pound super club.

The fashionable Northern Quarter houses some of the most stylish shops in Manchester as well as trendy music bars like Fat City Records and Dry Bar. The fine old Victorian buildings in the Northern Quarter contain media offices and alternative shopping centres like Affleck’s Palace and the Coliseum, which is famous for its jewellery stores.

The city’s sporting side is best seen at Old Trafford and Salford, home of such famous sports institutions as Manchester United and the Lancashire County Cricket Club. The area’s recent redevelopment is most evident when you look at the resplendent Trafford Centre, the shopping complex that cost £600 million and features the only Selfridges & Co store outside London. The Lowry and Quays in Salford are also worth a visit.

Manchester’s three main universities are on Oxford Road, a major thoroughfare leading into the heart of Manchester. Revolution bar leads the roster of trendy student-directed bars in the area. The Manchester Museum and the Cornerhouse arthouse cinema and gallery are also on Oxford Road.

The Rochdale, Oldham and Ashton area is popular among foreign tourists because of the rolling foothills of the Pennines and the northern Peak District as well as the attraction of the Portland Basin Museum and Rochdale Pioneer Museum.
